ParkSmart is the public parking system in downtown Toledo, whose purpose is to provide clean, secure and accessible parking for visitors, residents and commuters in downtown Toledo. The ParkSmart public parking system is comprised of the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority owned parking facilities conveniently located within the core of downtown at Port Lawrence, Vistula, and Superior. In addition there are 900 metered parking spaces that make up the ParkSmart on-street public parking program. We want you to feel "welcome" in downtown Toledo, and encourage your return.
ParkSmart is pleased to announce more affordable parking at the parking meters in the Toledo UpTown area. We recently converted five city blocks in the UpTown area to long term parking. The five blocks have a total of 113 metered parking spaces and are located on the 100 block of North Ontario, the 100 block of North 10th, the 300 and 400 blocks of 11th, and the 400 block of 12th street. More Information
To assist visitors to Downtown Toledo, ParkSmart has a Service and Information Center at the Port Lawrence facility. Customer service attendants are there to help you with parking information, directions, events, meeting information and parking violations.
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will automatically be notified of parking violators who have three or more violations or one single violation for parking in a handicap space more than 90 days overdue.
The BMV will then place a block on registration renewals and transfers and duplicate titles.
The program, called DETER - Drivers with Excessive Tickets Excluded from Registration - was authorized by Toledo City Council on March 23.
